Information about Transition Mornings at S. Peter’s Collegiate School

Thank you to parents and carers who have emailed me to confirm their child’s attendance at their Transition Morning.
If you require specific information about the day, please email me on jpeacock@speters.org.uk.
In the meantime here are the basics once again;
Most parents have now responded to confirm their child’s acceptance of this invitation. If you still have not received this please email me on jpeacock@speters.org.uk.
On the day, parents and carers are asked to ensure their child arrives between 8.30 and 8.45am in their Primary School uniform with writing equipment, a drink in a non-spill bottle and a snack for break-time.
Any medication normally kept in school for your child, or that they carry with them, should be brought in a seal-able plastic box, clearly labelled with your child’s name and instructions for use. This will be kept in the teaching room with them throughout.
The morning sessions will conclude at 12.00 at which time parents and carers should collect their child from school gates.
Again, please contact me on jpeacock@speters.org.uk if you need further information about Transition Days.
I look forward to welcoming your child to S Peter’s Collegiate School

Welcome from the Head of Year 7

Hello and Welcome to the S. Peter’s Collegiate School Transition Page.

If you are reading this, you are probably a student in Year 6 or a Parent / Carer of a student in Year 6 about to make the step from Primary to Secondary Education at S. Peter’s Collegiate School.

Here you will find answers to some of the questions you might have about moving from Year 6 into Year 7 and we will update information as it becomes available to us.

Please take the time to look at information already posted here, especially equipment requirements for start in September. I would also encourage you to read the Year 7 blog –written by a student that started at S. Peter’s in September 2019.

Transition Mornings at S. Peter’s

You will have heard that secondary schools in Wolverhampton are now in a position to invite Year 6 students in for their Transition Day and today I have written to the Parents and Carers of every Year 6 student who currently holds a place to start with us in Year 7 at S. Peter’s in September.

My letter to you contains detailed information about arrangements for Transition Mornings at S. Peter’s between 6th and 17th July along with other important information about your move to your new school.

Please note the day and date I have invited your child in to S. Peter’s and confirm by email jpeacock@speters.org.uk that they will be attending on that date.

Please, if you have not received this letter in the post by Monday 22nd June, or if you have further questions as a result of receiving the information, email me at the address above and I will endeavour to answer your questions.

In the meantime, I must say that I am very excited about welcoming you to your new school and look forward to working with you to settle into a positive way of working

Thank you and stay safe
