The Senior Choir will be singing Choral Evensong in Lichfield Cathedral on Saturday June 25th. The Choral Foundation at Lichfield cathedral dates back to 1315 and we are delighted to be able to contribute to the daily schedule of worship at the Cathedral. Evensong is normally lead by the cathedral choir but, when the choir is absent, they ask visiting choirs to sing in their place. It is an honour for the choir to be accepted to lead the worship and recognition of their professionalism and high standards. Singing in a cathedral will be a new experience for many students and one which I’m sure they will remember. The choir is central to the spiritual life and worship of the school and we are very proud of their ability to perform at this level.

Evensong is at 5:30pm and all are welcome to attend. Perhaps have an afternoon shopping in Lichfield and finish the afternoon by listening to the choir for an hour in the cathedral.

Music for the service will be:

Responses – Smith
Psalm 119 verse 73 – 88
Canticles – Stanford in C
Anthem – Balfour Gardiner, Evening Hymn
